SELEC received the visit from Senior Commissaire Mr. Stoian Mandadzhiev, Deputy Director of the General Directorate ‘Border Police’ within the Ministry of Interior of Bulgaria, accompanied by his team of experts, on the 6th of October 2025. He was welcomed by Director General Dr. Oğuz Serkant Akin and Director for Operations, Mr. Chavdar Georgiev.
During the operational-level discussions, the latest updates on SELEC’s activities and their potential future development were addressed, with illegal migration highlighted as a key area of shared concern.
Mr. Mandadzhiev commended SELEC’s vital role in the region for law enforcement collaboration and expressed appreciation for its ongoing support and commitment to enhancing cross-border security.
