Bucharest, June 6th, 2012 – A group of six Prosecutors from France, Germany, Italy and Poland, participating in an experience exchange program coordinated by the European Judicial Training Network (EJTN), paid a working visit to the SELEC Headquarters.
It is the second time, when SELEC was visited through this exchange programme, organized with the support of the Romanian Prosecutor’s Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice, Department of International Judicial Co-operation, International Relations and Programmes.
Mr. Petros Petroff, SELEC’s Director for Operations, welcomed the participants and introduced the Center, its missions, goals and functioning, also providing concrete examples of successful joint operations conducted within SELEC. Mr. Petroff highlighted the importance of involving the prosecutors in criminal investigations and cases, mentioning that this is one of the objectives for the future, to bring closer the members of the Southeast European Prosecutors Advisory Group (SEEPAG).
The foreign magistrates received also detailed information about SEEPAG, its members, meetings and benefits, along with the information provided in the newly developed website.
