On the 29 of April 2024 the Director General of SELEC, Dr. Oğuz Serkant Akın received at the SELEC Headquarters the visit of the new Albanian Ambassador to Romania, H.E. Mrs. Enkeleda Mërkuri.
Mr. Akın briefed the distinguished Ambassador about SELEC’s activities, underlining the benefits of the presence of both Liaison Officers from Police and Customs at SELEC for ensuring the rapid exchange of information between the Member States, but also with the Operational Partners.
The Ambassador expressed the full support of Republic of Albania for accomplishing SELEC’s important mission to fight against transborder organized crime in Southeast Europe.
Republic of Albania is a founding Member of SELEC, currently leading the Anti-Fraud and Anti-Smuggling Task Force.
