On the 26th of October 2023, the Director General of SELEC, Mr. Oğuz Serkant Akın, received the visit of the delegation from the Regional Anti-Corruption Initiative (RAI).
RAI is an intergovernmental regional organization having the mission to reinforce regional cooperation in support of anti-corruption efforts by providing a platform for dialogue, trainings and sharing of best-practices, its Member States being Republic of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Republic of Bulgaria, Republic of Croatia, Republic of Moldova, Montenegro, Republic of North Macedonia, Romania and Republic of Serbia.
During the meeting, development of cooperation at regional level and the possibilities of enhancing the relations between the two organizations were reviewed. Ms. Laura Stefan and Ms. Desislava Gotskova, RAI’s representatives, gave information about the recent activities of RAI, whilst Mr. Akın provided an overall picture of SELEC and SEEPAG. The Director General of SELEC also expressed his support to host a training to be organized by RAI next year in SELEC’s Training Centre.
Dialogues are currently underway to establish a partnership between the two organizations.
