On the 27th of September 2023, a delegation of the Institute for Research and Development in Informatics (ICI Bucharest), headed by Mr. Adrian-Victor Vevera, Director General, paid a visit to SELEC, being welcomed by the members of the SELEC Management.
Both institutions presented extensively their activities and objectives. SELEC underlined its mission to facilitate cooperation between member countries in the fight against transborder crime, especially in the area of organized crime and similar threats. ICI Bucharest, a recognized institution for research and development in the field of IT, highlighted its contribution to technological innovation and the development of advanced IT solutions.
During the discussions, the potential for cooperation between the two institutions was explored. Possible points of contact between activities were identified, in particular in relation to the use of information technology to improve the effectiveness of law enforcement efforts in Southeast Europe.
