The Director General of SELEC, Dr. Oguz Serkant Akin, met on the 8th of October 2024 the Bulgarian Customs Agency’s Director General, Mr. Georgi Dimov.
The unique role of SELEC in supporting law enforcement cooperation in combating transborder crime in Southeast Europe, as well as the involvement of the Bulgarian Customs Administration in the Center’s work, through the Liaison Officer posted at SELEC, were among the issues discussed during the meeting.
Mr. Akin stressed that during its 25 years since its establishment SELEC has become the most reliable regional law enforcement organization, and will continue to grow both in the number of operations and investigations supported, as well as enlarging the partnership with other countries and organizations.
