United Kingdom, the new Operational Partner of SELEC

SELEC and United Kingdom, through the National Crime Agency,  recently concluded a Cooperation Agreement, being granted by the SELEC Council the Operational Partner status with SELEC.

The purpose of this agreement is to strengthen cooperation in preventing and combating, within their powers, all forms of transnational crime, including serious and organized crime. This will be achieved by exchanging data, joint investigations, regional operations, Task Forces, trainings, workshops and joint programmes for preventing and fighting crime.

United Kingdom has been our long-standing partner as Observer until now, with this new legal framework the cooperation will be further enhanced at operational level.
