SELEC recently expanded its area of action in preventing and combating transnational organized crime by concluding a Cooperation Agreement with Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The highest decision-making body of SELEC, the Council, granted the Operational Partner status to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, thus adding its 25th partner.
The Cooperation Agreement sets the legal framework for law enforcement cooperation in the field of transborder serious and organized crime, including exchanging data and participating in operational activities.
The posting of a representative at the Headquarters of SELEC for the purposes of the implementation of the Cooperation Agreement was also discussed.
