Director for Operations of SELEC, Mr. Chavdar Georgiev, attended the official ceremony held on the 18 of December 2025, in Chisinau, for celebrating 35 years since the creation of the National Police.
During the bilateral meeting with Mr. Viorel Cernauteanu, Head of National Police, were highlighted the latest activities conducted in the framework of SELEC and the contribution and achievements of the Moldovan officers. The need for capacity building and rising awareness were also topics tackled by the parties.
Mr. Georgiev also met the Deputy Head of the Customs Service of Republic of Moldova, Mr. Viorel Doaga, and his team, to discuss the possibilities of implementing new joint operational activities.
With a view of fostering recognition of SELEC among the future law enforcement officers, Mr. Georgiev, accompanied by the Police Liaison Officer posted at SELEC, Mr. Victor Harabagiu, met with the Pro-Rector of the Academy of Ministry of Interior, Mr. Iurie Odagiu, and Dean of the Faculty, Mr. Vitalie Ionascu, and addressed the cadets of the Academy, presenting the methods and forms of international law enforcement cooperation and coordination the efforts for effectively countering transborder serious and organised crime.
