On the 30th of November 2022, SELEC delegation represented by Director General, Dr. Oğuz Serkant Akın and the Director of Operations, Mr. Romulus Nicolae Ungureanu, paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Sezai Uçarmak, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Trade of Tűrkiye.
The Deputy Minister emphasized the support given to SELEC, whilst Mr. Akın expressed gratitude for the hospitality shown to the SELEC Liaison Officers during the working visit to the regional directorates of Turkish Customs, in October 2022.
Later, the delegation visited the General Directorate of Customs Enforcement and had a meeting with the Deputy General Manager, Mr. Hasan Oktay Duygun, and with the administrators of the General Directorate. At the meeting, the parties exchanged information and discussed about further strengthening mutual relations.
During the visit, the Command Control and Operations Center, which is very important in the fight against smuggling, as well as SELEC’s National Focal Point were presented to the SELEC delegation.
