In the framework of the project Further strengthening of International Law Enforcement Coordination Units (ILECUs) Network in South-Eastern Europe and Eastern Partnership countries a delegation consisting in representatives from ICMPD and ILECUs visited SELEC on the 25th of January 2023.
The participants were from Georgia, Hungary, Republic of Moldova, Republic of North Macedonia, Romania and Republic of Serbia.
As most of the countries are SELEC’s Member States, their representatives expressed appreciation for SELEC’support and mentioned that it really makes a difference in the fight against organized crime,in particular if the respective state has posted Liaison Officers at the SELEC Headquarters.
A brief presentation of SELEC and its current capabilities and activities was done during the study visit, highlighting that SELEC is trying to adapt to the ever-changing and borderless organized crime, so as to provide a more tailored support to its Member States and Partners.
