SELEC Council meeting was held on the 15th of May 2025 to deliberate on financial matters and conduct elections for managerial positions. The session, held at SELEC Headquarters in Bucharest, brought together senior Council members, representatives of SELEC Members States, as well as of Operational Partners and Observers.
In accordance with SELEC’s Election Procedures, elections were held for the positions of Director for Operations and Director for Legal and Interns Affairs. The process was successful, the newly elected officials being Mr. Chavdar GEORGIEV, Deputy Director of Inspectorate Directorate from the Ministry of Interior of Republic of Bulgaria, as Director for Operations, and Mr. Jovan PESHEVSKI, Head of Foreigners and Readmission Unit from the Ministry of Interior of Republic of North Macedonia, as Director for Legal and Internal Affairs.
This 25th Council session was held in the framework of the Bulgarian Council Chairmanship, in accordance with the rotation procedure provided by the Rules of Procedure of the Council, Mrs. Snezhina MARINOVA, Director of EU and International Cooperation Directorate within the Ministry of Interior of Bulgaria, being the Chairperson of the Council.
