Senior officials from the Ministry of Trade and the General Directorate of Customs Enforcement of the Republic of Türkiye visited SELEC on 30 of April 2025.
The delegation consisted of Director General of Customs Enforcement – Mr. Recep Koşal, Head of Guidance and Inspection – Mr. Hacı Hasan Murat Özsoy, Director General of Legal Services – Mr. Ebubekir Aydoğdu, and Head of Strategy Development – Mr. Adil Yıldırım.
The visit aimed to strengthen inter-agency coordination, improve information sharing, and develop joint strategies to combat smuggling, illicit trade, and other cross-border crimes. The officials discussed current challenges, shared best practices, and explored opportunities for capacity building and joint operations.
Welcoming the delegation, Dr. Oguz Serkant Akin, Director General of SELEC, emphasized the importance of sustained collaboration to safeguard regional security and support legal trade.
