During a courtesy visit, SELEC Management met on 15 October 2025, in Chisinau, H.E Ms. Daniella Misail-Nichitin, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Republic of Moldova and Mr. Viorel Cernauteanu, Chief of the General Inspectorate of Moldovan Police.
SELEC Director General, Dr. Oguz Serkant Akin, mentioned that SELEC greatly values the constructive relationship established with the Moldovan law enforcement authorities and made reference to the latest joint investigations conducted in the framework of SELEC by the Moldovan Police officers, supported by the Liaison Officer posted at SELEC.
The parties reiterated the commitment in strengthening and enhancing collaboration in addressing transnational and organized crime, which remains a priority area for SELEC.
Currently both Police and Customs authorities deployed a Liaison Officer at SELEC for contributing in achieving SELEC’s mission in Southeast Europe.
Republic of Moldova is a founding member of the Center since 1999.
