On the 26th of April 2023, the Director General of SELEC, Mr. Oğuz Serkant Akın and the Director for Legal and Internal Affairs, Ms.Tanja Levajkovikj, had a meeting with the Bulgarian Minister of Internal Affairs, H.E Mr. Ivan Demerdzhiev, in Sofia, at the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Bulgaria.
Mr. Demerdzhiev invited SELEC Management to discuss the cooperation and the involvement of the Bulgarian law enforcement officers in SELEC’s activities and operations, as well as to analyse the possibilities to further enhance the cooperation at operational level.
Republic of Bulgaria, through its Liaison Officers posted at SELEC, is one of the most active country in the fight against transborder organized crime in Southeast Europe, coordinating SELEC’s Anti-Drug Trafficking Task Force.
