On the 3rd of February 2023, SELEC Management received the visit of a high-level delegation from the Turkish National Police headed by Mr. Mahmut CORUMLU, 1st Degree Superintendent, Head of Turkish National Police Counter Organized Crime Department.
An extensive presentation of SELEC’s facilities and activities was made by the SELEC Management, while the Turkish Police Liaison Officer posted at SELEC presented the Anti-Terrorism Task Force activities and joint investigation METH conducted in the framework of SELEC.
The Turkish National Police representatives, including Mr. Vedat MERCAN (Head of Public Order Department), Mr. Ali TUREDI (Head of Foreign Relations Department) and Mr. Selcuk SEVGEL (Head of INTERPOL Department) reiterated the support of the Turkish National Police in fulfilling SELEC’s important mission to combat transborder organized crime in Southeast Europe.
Republic of Türkiye is a founding member of SELEC, presently coordinating the Anti-Terrorism Task Force.
