On the 19 of August 2024, the Director General of SELEC, Dr. Oguz Serkant Akin, paid a courtesy visit to the Minister of Trade of Republic of Türkiye, Prof. Dr. Omer Bolat.
Mr. Akın shared information on the recent work of SELEC and the positive results achieved with the contribution of the law enforcement authorities of the member states and operational partners in the fight against organized crime.
Minister Bolat emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation in the Balkan region, particularly in combating smuggling, highlighted SELEC’s role in this context, and stated that the support and active participation of the Ministry of Trade will continue in the future.
