On 18 of June 2021 Mrs. Snejana Maleeva, Director General, received at the SELEC Headquarters the visit of Mr. Paolo Cestra, Police Attaché to Romania, Hungary, Republic of Moldova and SELEC, Chief of the Regional Coordination Office for Eastern Europe, who was accompanied by Mr. Ruggero Giangelici, Police Attaché to Romania and Republic of Moldova.
As Italian Republic is an Operational Partner of SELEC, the discussion focused on the current state of play of our cooperation and the possibilities to further develop the cooperation at operational level in areas of mutual interest.
In 2014, SELEC and Italian Republic concluded a Cooperation Agreement that set the legal base of the law enforcement cooperation for countering all forms of transborder serious and organized crimes.
Italian Republic is a long-standing partner of SELEC since its establishment, having currently a law enforcement officer posted at SELEC Headquarters in Bucharest, with the purpose to swift and enhance the cooperation among the member states and partners.
