On the 5th of July 2022, the Management of SELEC received at the headquarters of SELEC the visit of H.E Mr. Radko Vlaykov, Ambassador of Republic of Bulgaria to Bucharest.
As Republic of Bulgaria is leading SELEC’s Anti-Drug Trafficking Task Force, the Bulgarian Liaison Officers present during the meeting highlighted the latest trends in drug trafficking in the region considering also the war in Ukraine.
The Director General of SELEC, Dr. Oğuz Serkant Akın, mentioned briefly about the current state of affairs in SELEC and about enhancing the law enforcement cooperation in the framework of SELEC.
The Ambassador of Republic of Bulgaria to Bucharest expressed high appreciation for the work of SELEC in combating transborder serious and organized crime in Southeast Europe.
