Bucharest, September 12, 2013 – SELEC Management welcomed today Ms. Maria Grazia Giammarinaro, Special Representative and Coordinator for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings of OSCE (Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe).
Mr. Gürbüz Bahadir, Director General of SELEC, briefed the OSCE delegation on the activity of SELEC, highlighting the future cooperation possibilities between the two organizations.
The activity of the Center in the area of trafficking in human beings and illegal migration was presented by Mr. Cristian Duta, Director for Operations of SELEC, who emphasized the activity of the Mirage Task Force, whose meetings are excellent opportunities for sharing experience, best practices and new trends in this field among the Member States. There were discussions also regarding the regional situation on trafficking in human beings and smuggling of migrants and the efficient framework to address and combat this type of criminality.
