A delegation of police officers from the National Police Agency of South Korea visited SELEC on 17 of October 2022 being welcomed by the Director of Operations of SELEC, Mr. Romulus Nicolae Ungureanu. The delegates expressed interest in SELEC’s activities and in exploring the possibilities of establishing a mutual benefit partnership with SELEC.
Mr. Ungureanu made an extensive presentation of SELEC’s activities, mentioning that SELEC is focused on operational matters, such as organizing operational meetings, joint investigations, regional operations, offering the platform for the swift exchange of information and data, elaborating analytical reports related to the main crime areas that concerns the SEE region. He also explained about the procedure and the benefits of becoming an Operational partner or Observer with SELEC, and what these statuses entail.
The South Korean delegation were accompanied by Romanian officers from the Directorate for Combating Organized Crime/General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police.
