Serbian law enforcement officers awarded by SELEC

On the 16 of June 2023, in Belgrade took place the ceremony for handing-over the certificates of honour to the competent Serbian law enforcement officers for the successful joint investigations ALFA and AJDUK awarded by SELEC.

The diplomas for joint investigation code-named ALFA were granted in the presence of Mr. Milan Trifunović, Deputy Head of the Service for Criminal Intelligence, Criminal Investigations Directorate, Ministry of Interior of Republic of Serbia. Joint investigation ALFA was conducted between the competent authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia, and resulted in seizing 81 kg of marijuana.

As well, Mr. Nebojša Adamović, Head of the Department for Suppressing Organized Financial Crime, Service for Combating Organized Crime, Criminal Investigations Directorate, Ministry of Interior of Republic of Serbia, offered SELEC’s certificates of honour to the officers involved in the awarded joint investigation AJDUK, on counterfeiting money. Following this joint investigation, conducted together with the Greek law enforcement authorities, 10 individuals were arrested, and a large amount of counterfeit money was found and seized, as well as devices and equipment for counterfeiting money.

SELEC grants annual awards as recognition of outstanding law enforcement activities carried out by Police and Customs Authorities of its Member States in fighting trans-border serious and organized crime.
