The Director General of SELEC, Mrs. Snejana Maleeva, represented SELEC at the Ministerial segment of the 62nd session of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND) organized by UNODC in Vienna during 14-22 March 2019.
The implementation of all commitments made to jointly address and counter world drug problem, analyzing existing and emerging trends, gaps and challenges, enhancing efforts to respond to the world drug problem through strengthening international cooperation, including means of implementation, capacity-building and technical assistance, on the basis of common and shared responsibility, were tackled during the debates and round tables.
CND was established by Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) in 1946 for assisting ECOSOC in supervising the application of the international drug control treaties.
SELEC has Observer status to the Commission on Narcotic Drugs since 2018.
