On 6th of February 2019 the Director General of SELEC, Mrs. Snejana Maleeva paid an official visit to Montenegro where she had bilateral discussions with the Director of the Police Directorate, Mr. Veselin Veljović and the Director of Customs Administration, Mr. Vladan Joković, with a view to develop the cooperation at operational level.
The meeting with Director Veljović was an opportunity to discuss the long-term successful cooperation between Montenegrin Police and SELEC, which has concrete results in the fight against organized cross-border crime. Director Veljović thanked Director General Maleeva for the support that SELEC continuously provides to the Montenegrin Police in the area of information exchanges and joint investigations.
Director General Maleeva re-confirmed SELEC’s full support in carrying out activities related to ensuring the security in Southeast Europe and expressed appreciation as regards Montenegrin Police active participation to the achievement of the strategic and operational goals of the Center and successfully implemented actions that are in the interest of the SELEC Member States and its European and international partners.
During the meeting with the Customs Administration Director, Mr. Vladan Joković, the parties discussed the possibilities to increase the involvement of the Montenegrin Customs authority in SELEC activities.
