Bucharest, April 22, 2015 – Mr. David M. Luna, Senior Director for National Security and Diplomacy, Office of Anti-Crime Programs, Bureau for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs – INL, U.S. Department of State, and Ms. Marisa Maclsaac, Political Officer, U.S. Embassy in Bucharest, paid today a visit at SELEC premises being welcomed by Mr. Gürbüz Bahadir, Director General of SELEC, and Ms. Monica Custura, USDOJ/ OPDAT Legal Advisor at SELEC.
During the meeting, the role of the Center in the region with an emphasize of its successful achievements was viewed. The further considerations of SELEC’s future, in respect to maintaining its role and its mission for the future period were highlighted. The possible ways of supporting SELEC activities and keeping the Center’s capability ongoing especially from the financial point of view were also discussed
