Establishing cooperation with HM Revenue&Customs

Based on the mutual interest in taking effective measures aimed at combating transnational organised crime, and wishing to coordinate the efforts in enhancing closer international law enforcement cooperation, on the 10th of May 2022, at the Headquarters of SELEC, took place the official ceremony of signing the Cooperation Agreement with HM Revenue&Customs (HMRC).

HM Revenue&Customs expressed their intention to become SELEC’s Operational Partner and their request was granted by the supreme decision-making body of SELEC, the Council.

The Cooperation Agreement was signed on behalf of HMRC by Mr. David Huntley, Assistant Director, Head of Western Balkans region, and on behalf of SELEC by Ms. Snejana Maleeva, Director General.

The parties expressed their readiness to start and develop the cooperation at operational level, Liaison Officers being already posted at the SELEC Headquarters for the purpose of implementing the Cooperation Agreement.

HM Revenue & Customs are the United Kingdom’s tax, payments and customs authority.
