Working visit

Bucharest, March 24th, 2016 – In the framework of the EU-supported project “Regional Cooperation in Border Management among Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey”, executed by International Organization for Migration (IOM), a delegation consisting in representatives from Turkish institutions paid a visit to SELEC, being welcomed by SELEC Director General, Mr. Gürbüz Bahadır, who introduced SELEC to the participants, explaining how the Center is functioning, which are its partners, and also providing details about the cooperation among police and customs authorities from its twelve SELEC Member States.

The Task Force Manager of Mirage Task Force on Countering Trafficking in Human Beings and Illegal Migration, Mr. Eliodor Tanislav, and SELEC Criminal Analyst, Mr. Robert Patrancus, provided presentations of the activities carried out within the Task Force, as well as succesful cases and statistical data. The participants were also informed about the key findings of the Annual Report on Trafficking in Human Beings and Smuggling of Migrants in Southeast Europe prepared by SELEC.
