Bucharest, May 16, 2014 – The Director General of the National Customs Agency of the Republic of Bulgaria, Mr. Pavel Tonev, visited SELEC premises. Mr. Tonev was welcomed by Mr. Gürbüz Bahadir, Director General of SELEC, and Mr. Cristian Duţă, Director for Operations.
Mr. Bahadir presented the activities of the Center – its mission, capabilities and perspectives and underlined the important role of Republic of Bulgaria in coordinating the Anti-Drug Trafficking Task Force activities. Mr. Tonev presented the recent changes in the organizational structure of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate and reaffirmed the readiness of the Bulgarian Customs Administration to render full support to SELEC’s efforts in the fight against transnational crime in the South East European region.
