Bucharest, June 8, 2015 – Mr. Okechukwu Fidelis Muoh, Ambassador of Federal Republic of Nigeria in Bucharest, paid today a courtesy visit to SELEC premises, being welcomed by Mr. Gürbüz Bahadir, Director General of SELEC. The Nigerian delegation was accompanied by Mr. Liviu Muresan, President of EURISC Foundation – European Institute for Risk, Security and Communication Management.
During the meeting it was discussed about the Center’s role in providing law enforcement cooperation in the region, especially in respect to the possibility of forming such a platform for combating trans-border criminality, terrorism in particular, in Western Africa. Mr. Bahadir encouraged the guests to be free in their further contact with the Center in this issue, giving the example of the Center’s involvement in the UN activities in establishing a similar cooperation mechanism in South Eastern Asian region.
