On the 12th of July 2022, Dr. Oğuz Serkant Akın received at the headquarters of SELEC in Bucharest the courtesy visit of H.E Mr. Ilir Tepelena, Ambassador of Republic of Albania to Romania.
The Director General of SELEC, Dr. Oğuz Serkant Akın, briefed about the current activities in SELEC and expressed the intention to further enhance the cooperation with the Albanian law enforcement authorities, given also by the fact that both Police and Customs posted Liaison Officers to SELEC, thus enabling a faster exchange of information and requests of assistance.
The Ambassador of Republic of Albania to Romania expressed their support and appreciation for the important mission of SELEC in ensuring the security and stability in Southeast Europe by effectively combating trans-border organized crime.
Republic of Albania is leading the Anti-Fraud and Anti-Smuggling Task Force established in 2003.
