In the framework of the “Counter Drug Trafficking Conference”, SELEC organized jointly with the Bulgarian Ministry of Interior, General Directorate for Combatting Organized Crime, the Anti-Drug Trafficking Task Force meeting, that took place during 29-30 October 2024 in Sofia/ Bulgaria.
The objective of the event was to exchange experience on the production, trafficking and distribution of cannabis, cocaine and heroin, trafficking of methamphetamine and precursors for its illicit synthesis, challenges in countering drug trafficking, recent trends, modus operandi, case studies, as well as the role of the Balkan route.
The Conference brought together highly qualified experts from Police and Customs agencies from 26 countries, as well as representatives from EUROPOL and SELEC. The forum provided a platform for the exchange of opinions, experiences, and best practices related to drug counteraction, production, and trafficking, and contributed to strengthening collaboration between law enforcement agencies.
