Operation “SHILLING” – a successful operation in the field of drug trafficking and weapons smuggling

The Operation “SHILLING” was carried out during 19th of July 2013 and 10th of April 2014 involving Police authorities from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Republic of Croatia, Republic of Slovenia and Republic of Austria and later on the polices agencies from Federal Republic of Germany and Kingdom of Sweden.

The Operation targeting an organized crime group involved in drug trafficking and weapons smuggling brought together several police agencies from Bosnia and Herzegovina - Brcko District Police (leader of the investigation), Border Police, the Ministry of Interior of Republic of Srpska, Federal Police Administration (the Police from one of two Bosnia and Herzegovina’s entities), and the Ministry of Interior of Tuzla Canton.

During the Operation, 18 persons were arrested in several cities of Bosnia and Herzegovina (most of them in Brcko) and the Police provided for them evidences for smuggling of 11 kg of marijuana, 2.8 kg of heroin and different kind of weapons.

At the same time, during the Operation there were seized from the perpetrators 0.1 kg of marijuana, 0.5 kg of heroin, 40 gr. of cocaine, a mini laboratory for marijuana producing, 13 plants of cannabis, as well as 17 vehicles,  mobile phones, SIM cards, 2135 KM (app. 1.095 EUR), 510 EUR and 70 Kuna cash, Vehicle Registration Certificates and Owners Certificates, guns etc.
